Susan Rice

Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice talks about her memoir, “Tough Love.”

Susan Rice began her service in the public sector in 1993. In the Clinton administration, she was a foreign policy analyst on the National Security Council and assistant secretary of state for African affairs. Under President Barack Obama, she served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and national security advisor. She is currently a distinguished visiting research fellow at the School of International Service at American University, a non-resident senior fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times. 

Rice received a master’s degree and a doctorate in international relations from Oxford University where she was a Rhodes Scholar and her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. She released a memoir, “Tough Love,” in 2019 that provides an insider’s look at the White House, foreign affairs and balancing work with motherhood. 

Kirsten Gillibrand

New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand talks policy and her bid for the U.S. presidency.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has served as the junior U.S. senator from New York since 2009. A magna cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College in 1988, Gillibrand went on to receive her law degree from the UCLA School of Law in 1991 and served as a law clerk on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. After working as an attorney in New York City for more than a decade, Senator Gillibrand served as Special Counsel to United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Andrew Cuomo during the Clinton Administration. She then worked as an attorney in Upstate New York before serving as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009.

On March 17, 2019, Senator Gillibrand declared her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States.

Evan McMullin

Evan McMullin is a former CIA officer who ran as an Independent candidate for President of the United States in the 2016 election. After completing his CIA service in 2011, McMullin joined the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs.
