Al Franken

Former U.S. Senator Al Franken talks about his latest book, “Giant of the Senate,” his transition from comedy to politics and the current political climate.

Al Franken was the U.S. Senator of Minnesota. Before running for the Senate, Franken spent 37 years as a comedy writer, author and radio talk show host. He is best known for his stint on Saturday Night Live during the 1970s and 1980s. Franken was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2008 and re-elected in 2014. His book, Al Franken, “Giant of the Senate,” was a New York Times bestseller.

Colin Jost

Colin Jost is best known for his work on “Saturday Night Live.” He co-anchors the show’s famous segment “Weekend Update,” alongside Michael Che. Jost was previously co-head writer and a staff writer at SNL. Colin has won several Writers Guild Awards, a Peabody Award and has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards for his writing. He writes occasionally for The New Yorker.

Noël Wells

In 2013, Noël Wells was a featured player on Saturday Night Live. In 2010, she moved to Los Angeles and appeared in numerous online comedy videos. Her self-produced sketch videos have over 12 million views on YouTube. She has a recurring role on Netflix’s “Master of None.”
